a knitting related post, and other things too

facebook shotFacebook consumes me for some reason, thus my absence for a while.

Anyways….

T-14 days until we leave for Sunny San Juan!  T-15 days until we leave on a Carnival Cruise Ship for the Carribean!  As I sit here, neglecting the clock taunting me to get ready for Pams Bachelorette, I feel compelled to let you know what I’ve been working on for the past couple weeks.  It’s been a bit busy at work, and my serger pooped out on me (bah!).  Something to do with the timing, the bottom looper isn’t catching my left needle in time.  It hurts my heart.

With the machine being in the shop it’s given me a perfect opportunity to catch up on my knitting.  Can you guys guess what this is?  It should be finished in about a week…mystery knitting

Well I can give you one hint, it’s a raglan top down…very simple…my first spring knit.  After this garmet is complete I can’t WAIT to try out a pattern from the wonderful Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel.  There are so many delicious and pretty pieces that you can wear to the office, out to eat with your bon bon, anything.  Quite delicious.

Here is your weekly gauge shot…*dont judge the acrylic yarn!  It’s all I can afford right now!*

On another note, the bachelorette party tonight, Pam decided to get some white shirts from old Navy and we got to paint our own to wear!  What fun, well for me, because I’m kind of the artsy fartsy type.  We had a great time…and were eerily silent during our painting which is rare for the 4 of us.  I managed to get a great shot of Pam and my shirts.  I didn’t get permission from the other girls to post theirs, thus I will refrain.

Until next time :)

Which pattern is that in Fitted Knits. I don’t recall one with ribbing around the neck-line. I love yours.

This garment I’m working on right now isn’t from fitted knits, it’s actually a Ravelry pattern :) I’m Ashla on Ravelry, feel free to add me as a friend. I’m just adding it to my current projects :)

The pattern I really want to start from Fitted Knits is the Textured Tunic with side buttons. It’s so adorable!
